Sitaaron Se Aage – Allama Iqbal Ki Mashhoor Ghazal
Introduction:
Adaab dosto! Aaj hum aapko ek khaas ghazal ke rangin jahan mein le jaane ja rahe hain. Yeh ghazal hui hai Allama Iqbal ki mashhoor ghazalon mein se ek, jo hamare dil ko chhu leti hai aur hamein apne andar chhupi hui sochon aur khwabon tak pohnchati hai. Is ghazal ka naam hai “Sitaaron Se Aage” jo unke shaayari ke mashhoor qita’at se ek jazbaati andaz mein hum tak pohnchati hai.
Ghazal – Sitaaron Se Aage: Definition and Meaning in English
“Sitaaron se aage jahaan aur bhi hain,
Abhi ‘ishq ke imtihaan aur bhi hain.”
Allama Iqbal ke is ustaadana jumle ne hume yeh sikhaya hai ke zindagi ke musafir safar ke dauraan kabhi bhi rukne ki aur haar maanne ki ijaazat nahi dete. Jahan sitaare khatam hoti hain, wahan aur bhi jagahen hain, aur jahan ‘ishq’ ki manzil khatam hoti hai, wahan aur bhi imtihaan hain.
“Tahe zindagi se nahi ye fizaayein,
Yahaan seikron kaaravaan aur bhi hain.”
Is sher mein Allama Iqbal hamein sikhlate hain ke hamesha umeed aur junoon banaye rehna zaroori hai. Jab ek manzil haasil nahi hoti, toh doosri manzil ki taraf aage badhna hi insani fitrat hai.
“Qina’at na kar aalim-e-rang o boo par,
Chaman aur bhi aashyaan aur bhi hain.”
Ghazal ke is hisse mein, Allama Iqbal hume yeh batate hain ke humein zindagi ke haseen rangon aur khushboo se qana’at nahi karna chahiye. Dunya mein aur bhi Khoobsurat jagahen hain, aur hamesha naye safar aur aashyaan milti hain.
Meaning of Allama Iqbal’s Poetry in English
“Agar kho gaya ik nasheman to kya gham,
Maqamat aah o fughan aur bhi hain.”
Kabhi kabhi zindagi mein hum apne maqsad ko haasil nahi kar pate, lekin isse ye matlab nahi ke haar gaye hain. Allama Iqbal humein yeh samjhate hain ke har naye maqam par naye safar aur naye aahang milti hain.
“To shaahin hai parwaaz hai kaam tera,
Tere saamne aasmaan aur bhi hain.”
Is sher mein Allama Iqbal hamein apne iradon aur maqsadon ki taraf aage badhne ka hukm dete hain. Woh kehte hain ke hum ek shaahin ki tarah buland udan bharte rahein aur aasman ki taraf badhte rahein.
“Isi roz o shab mein ulajh kar na rah ja,
Ke tere zamaan o makaan aur bhi hain.”
Is aakhri sher mein Allama Iqbal hamein yeh samjhate hain ke humein apne aap ko ek mauka dena chahiye, ke tere zamaan aur makaan aur bhi hain jo humare intezaar mein hain.
Allama Iqbalki Mashhoor Ghazlain
Allama Iqbal ki yeh ghazal ek sangeen aur jazbaati andaz mein humein zindagi ke haqiqi rangon aur manzilon ki taraf le jaati hai. Is ghazal ke shairi aur ma’ani hamare dil ko chhu leti hain aur humein yad dilati hain ke zindagi mein haar nahi, sirf ek naya safar hai.
Yeh tha Allama Iqbal ki mashhoor ghazal “Sitaaron Se Aage” ka ek jhalak. Hum ummid karte hain ke aapko yeh ghazal pasand aayi hogi aur aap iske shaandaar paigham se inspire hue honge. Zindagi mein hamesha aage badhne ki himmat rakhein aur naye safar ko khushi se apnayein.

Urdu Poets and Poetry: An Enthralling Journey Through History
Brief History of Urdu Poets and Their Work
Urdu Poets and Poetry: An Enthralling Journey Through History
Introduction
Urdu, a rich language marked by its profound poetic legacy, has been the expressive vehicle for thoughts and emotions for poets over the centuries. This article will take you on a fascinating exploration into the realm of Urdu poets and poetry, charting its spellbinding trajectory through time and the contributions of its towering figures.
Urdu Poets and Poetry: Legacy and Influence
Who are some of the most influential Urdu poets, and what role did they play in shaping Urdu poetry’s distinctive aesthetic?
Urdu poetry traces its roots back to the 13th century when it took flight. Central to Urdu’s lyrical universe were the towering figures like Amir Khusrau, Mirza Ghalib, and Allama Iqbal, to name a few.
Amir Khusrau: The Pioneer
No account of Urdu poetry’s history would be complete without mentioning Amir Khusrau. Often referred to as the “father of Urdu Literature,” Khusrau’s verses combined Persian influence with local vernacular, crafting a unique blend that would define Urdu poetry for centuries to come.
Mirza Ghalib: The Stalwart
Derived from “Ghalib,” Arabic for “dominant,” Mirza Ghalib certainly lived up to his name. As one of the most influential Urdu poets, Ghalib was renowned for his soulful verses that melded the charm of Urdu language with the profundity of his philosophical insights.

Allama Iqbal, known as the “Poet of the East”, stands tall as one of the greatest Urdu poets. Iqbal’s poetry, brimming with a unique blend of religious and philosophical thoughts, acted as a beacon, awakening the spirit of independence in South Asia.
Understanding the Artistry of Urdu Poetry
How is the beauty of Urdu expressed in its poetry?
The beauty of Urdu poetry lies in its form. Ghazal, Nazm, Marsia, Qasida, and Ruba’i are the popular forms, each with unique characteristics that enhance the expressive potential of the language.
Ghazal: The Love Letter
In a Ghazal, each couplet is a standalone poem, exploring themes such as loss, love, and longing. This poetic tradition emphasizes the use of metaphors and idioms, creating verses dripping with emotion and depth.
Nazm: The Narrative
The Nazm is a longer form of Urdu poetry, typically used to narrate stories or express philosophical musings. Examples of Nazm can be found in the works of famous poets like Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Allama Iqbal.
